Zoom

Connect your Zoom account, and Thril creates a Zoom meeting for each online class and event.

Connect your venue's Zoom account, and Thril creates a Zoom meeting for each online or hybrid event and keeps it up to date.

The Zoom integration may not be available to all customers yet. We're rolling it out gradually.

Connect Zoom

You need a Zoom admin or owner for this. Thril creates the meetings as the Zoom user who connects.

  1. Go to Settings → System → Integrations and select Zoom.
  2. Select Connect Zoom.
  3. Sign in to Zoom and allow Thril.
  4. You're back in Thril, and the status shows Active.

Use Zoom for your online events

  1. Go to Settings → Events and classes.
  2. Under Default online meeting, choose Zoom and select Save changes.
  3. When you create or edit an event, set Attendance to Online or Hybrid, and leave Online meeting link on Venue default.

Thril creates the meeting a moment after you save the event. An event with a Custom link uses its own link and gets no Zoom meeting.

Before and during the event

  • Each confirmed participant gets a personal join link in their confirmation and reminder emails. The link opens the meeting from 15 minutes before the start until the end.
  • To host, open the event and select Start online meeting. Zoom opens and signs you in as the host.
  • To give one participant their link again, open the participant's menu on the event and select Copy online meeting link.

Get told when something breaks

On the Zoom integration page, tick Notify if there's a problem with the Zoom integration, add the email addresses under Notification recipients, and select Save changes. Thril emails them if Zoom stops accepting Thril's access, for example after someone removes the app in Zoom.

If that happens, the status shows Reconnect needed. Select Reconnect Zoom and allow Thril again. Meetings that already exist keep working.

Disconnect Zoom

On the Zoom integration page, select Disconnect and confirm.

  • Thril stops creating Zoom meetings, and online events go back to the venue's default link.
  • The meetings Thril created stay in your Zoom account.
  • Thril deletes the Zoom data it holds for your venue.

You can also remove Thril in Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, and select Remove next to Thril. Thril then deletes your Zoom data too.
