Pickups
Pickups are Thril's community feature for finding new people to play and move with.
Pickups are casual, player-organized activities, a quick way to find new people to play and move with. Unlike events, courses, tournaments, and leagues (which venues organize), pickups are created by players, for players.
Pickups are a community feature between players. They're separate from the activities venues organize. See Events & organized activities for those.
Joining a pickup
Browse public pickups other players have created and join the ones that fit. You'll see the sport, the time, the location, and how many spots are left. When you join, the organizer can see you're in, and you'll find the pickup under My activities.
You can also be invited directly to a pickup by another player. Just confirm or decline the invitation. If your plans change, you can leave a pickup you've joined.
Creating a pickup
Hosting your own pickup is quick. The app walks you through a few simple steps:
- Choose the sport you want to play.
- Set the date and time.
- Pick a location.
- Set how many people can join.
- Name your pickup so others know what it's about.
- Invite people: share it publicly so anyone can join, or invite specific friends.
You can choose whether your pickup is public (anyone can find and join), unlisted (only people with the link), or private (invite-only), and you can edit the details after creating it.
